Twin music sensations Laura and Charlotte Carrivick have earned a guaranteed place at this year's Glastonbury Festival.
The Salcombe twins, who play a mix of folk and bluegrass, won a regional busking competition during last summer's Totnes Festival.
The South West Busking and Street Entertainment Contest was judged by Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis.
And the top prize was a slot at this year's much-hyped, three-day musical extravaganza.
"We've always wanted to go to Glastonbury," Laura told the Western Morning News. "So this is our chance. We've got our wellies and everything. We were one of the first acts to be lined up for the festival, which is great.
"At the moment we don't know if we'll play on the circus stage or another one. But our presence at the festival has been confirmed."
The twins, who are former Kingsbridge Community College students, started playing classical violin and guitar at the age of just nine.
Charlotte Carrivick: "We're both taking a gap year at the moment, but we definitely want to make a career in music so this is a really big opportunity for us."
Charlotte now plays the guitar, mandolin, banjo and bass, while Laura performs on the dobro, fiddle and lap steel. They both sing.
The twins recorded their first album, titled My Own Two Feet, in 2006, and followed this up with their latest collection, Better than 6 Cakes, a year later.
The tracks are recorded in their bedroom or “Pigsty Studios” as they like to call it.
Their musical influences include Alison Krauss, Dixie Chicks, Rhonda Vincent, Nickel Creek, Uncle Earl, Growling Old Men, Beverly Smith and Carl Jones.
Glastonbury is a million miles away from the narrow streets of Salcombe where the twins normally busk for a few quid. But they are hopeful that their upcoming appearance at the popular Somerset festival will showcase their unique talents to music lovers from all over the globe.
"We're both taking a gap year at the moment, but we definitely want to make a career in music so this is a really big opportunity for us," Charlotte told the BBC.
The twins, who are both 18, are four time-winners of BBC Three's Upstaged talent show and have also performed at the European World of Bluegrass Festival in the Netherlands and the Kingsbridge Music Festival.
They are scheduled to perform at the world famous Vancouver Island Festival in July.
When not playing music, Laura says she enjoys walking or even better, skiing in Austria, as well as painting. She loves giraffes and greyhounds, her favourite colour is green, and she spends a little too much time talking about her violins.
Charlotte also enjoys anything outdoors, particularly skiing, walking, cycling, doughnuting and body boarding. She also likes dogs, lions and cows - many of which she has terrified with her attempts to hug them.
